Completion of a new wire driven screening installation at Hemingford Plants in Spalding.

Ebtech Glasshouse Systems have just completed a new wire driven screening installation at Hemingford Plants in Spalding.

The screen covered an area of 1,689.6m² and was fully installed in five days.

The cloth was Ludvig Svensson, type Harmony 5220 O FR - an open weave, fire retardant shade material, providing a 56% diffused light shading, whilst only a 20% energy saving, as this cloth is designed primarily for shade and allows the air to flow through the open weaves within the cloth to give a cooler environment for the plants.

The system is operated via a Ridder RW 603 three phase drive unit and has an aluminium profile for a leading-edge, with a slipping element alongside.

Each side of the cloth material was weighted down using double discs.

The post height was 4.0m and the installation was done working on stilts.

Another satisfied Ebtech customer.
