Ebtech Glasshouse Systems have completed the replacement of the double screen system at Double H Nurseries in Hampshire.
Removing the existing and worn thermal and blackout material, it was replaced with Svensson’s closed weave white Harmony 7247 FR cloth on the top, providing a 72% shade and a 47% energy saving and Obscura 10070 FR WB + B on the bottom to provide 99.9% blackout, whilst also giving a 70% energy saving. Each screen covered an area of 1,520m²
As part of the work all the nylon support wires, slip elements, guide clips, drive wires and clip tubes were replaced along with all pulleys.
The project was successfully completed within a very short period of time to allow the client as little interruption as possible, whilst working amongst the bench container system.
