Ebtech Glasshouse Systems Ltd have again had the privilege of working on a project at Stockbridge House, this time supplying & installing a small shade screen.
The house was only 188sqm consisting of 2 x 6.40m bays
Using an aluminium profile leading edge and slipping elements the cloth installed was a Ludvig Svensson 5220 O FR from the Harmony fire retardant range providing a shading of 52% direct light and 56% diffused whilst giving an energy saving of 20%
The energy saving is low because this cloth is designed more for shade purposes than thermal as the clear strips are open to allow the air to flow through the cloth to provide a shaded and cooler area for plants and people.
The system is operated via a Ridder RW243 motor
The installation was done whilst the benching and crop were still in situ
